The Important Questions

We believe that there are four basic, yet not so easy to answer, questions that people can ask themselves; and if answered truly, can keep them true to themselves and their beliefs. Answering these questions can keep a person in tune with themselves and their spiritual journey. Every time one prays, God knows their hearts… How effective do you think one’s prayers could be if they truly knew their own hearts too?

What Do We Want Out of Life

Our Mission

To grab people’s, specifically the youth’s, attention, in a world of distractions, by way of music entertainment and offer educated perspectives to aid their spiritual and moral decision making.

To keep Churches’ or Organizations’ members, youth and adults, active in their Church or Organizations; by way of music entertainment.

Our Vision

To provide Christian oriented entertainment and promote events where people can have fun and, more importantly, gain positive affirmation that strengthens the foundation of their beliefs.

Who Are We?

We started as Edifide (Jason and Dale), a Hip Hop duo out of Charlotte NC, performing at clubs, bars, and run down music venues. They have always had the intention of spreading positive messages. While both of them were Christians when they started Edifide they did not want to “force the word” among their peers. So they buried their messages, in metaphors, in their music. Edifide has since evolved and matured; in both their music and their spirituality. They had to go through what they went through to build what is today.

What Do We Do?

We provide music and entertainment, guidance, and conversation all with the intention of helping people, and ourselves, grow in our spirituality and personal relationship with God.

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.”
-1 Corinthians 14:26

Annual Events

As of June 2015 Edifide Entertainment promotes quarterly family friendly social events; one in each season(Winter/New Years, Sping/Easter, Summer/Independence Day, Fall/Halloween). These events are heavily geared towards younger children with carnival style games and activities. There is more of an emphasis on family, fellowship, and unity at these events; that we feel is vital in keeping the foundation of your edifice strong. Surround yourself with positivity, and your life is bound to be positive.

Local Churches & Youth Groups

Edifide Entertainment puts on concerts for Churches, Youth Groups, and other Christian Oriented Organizations that like to keep their doors open and members active. It can become a difficult task for these groups’ organizers to constantly come up with activities week after week. For many a concert, every couple of months, could help keep their members active and even grow their youth groups or congregations.

What to expect at an Edifide Concert

Edifide is a Christian Rap/Hip Hop/Rock group, and as such we put on Christian Rap/Hip Hop/Rock concerts; ie Sound, Light, Fog, and encouragement for audience participation. Now our goal isn’t to make anyone “go deaf”; but we do try to put on a performance that is enjoyable. Now we understand that this type of entertainment is not acceptable to some traditional churches, and we understand and respect that and never cast judgment. We still welcome and encourage those youth groups and members to attend one of our public shows, if that is more acceptable.

Edifide’s music is a testimonial in itself. In the past, several critics and spectators admired the “high level energy” that filled the room when Edifide performed. Given the venues that Edifide use to perform in, most people did not realize that, “That Energy” was God’s spirit. We knew that, we know that, and that is what we try to embrace at each and every show. Music Entertainment is the gift God gave us, and that is what we do. Typically after a show, people will approach us with questions, about ourselves, our music, and/or our ministry.  It is at those times we know that our ministry is reaching people. Though we are open to do a Q&A session after a performance, most of the time it is not needed.

Where Do We Come From?

Edifide did not start labeled as a Christian Rap group. We have travelled some very dark roads. But there are two things that have always been the norm for Edifide; (1) We have always made music with the intension of help people help themselves, and (2) no matter how dark the roads we travelled were, God’s light was still bright in our eyes.

We do not tend to go into great detail about our past, unless directly asked; because the only relevance the past holds is the part it played in creating what you see before you now.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein helaboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.”

-Ecclesiastes 3:1-10

Where Are We Going?

Home; and we want to help as many as we can get there too. Generic, we know, but it is the truth. God put us here to do what we are doing. The path he has set for us, we know, will be long and hard; and with all that we’ve gone through, we can honestly say we are built for it. We are going to do all we can to reach people the way we always have.  But where that takes us… Well that is up to you. We hope to see you soon.
